SAAB
1.悪路 SAABは雪国産まれ。泥道雪道得意。フロントヘビイでグイグイ前進する感じ。トラコンもABSも付いてないのに、まっすぐ走る。
2.2Lのラリー車 SAABは昔はラリー車として鳴らしていた。その古いビデオを見てると直進走行性は抜群で、泥道を鬼のように突っ走っている。がカーブが弱いのか?たまにひっくり返っていたようだ。笑っちゃいますよ!
3.密閉性 天候が悪い国で産まれたので、室内の密閉性がよく、海にはまっても浮くそうだ。(今のGMサーブは知らない。)サターンは米国の法律からか、外気が入るようにしてある。
4.シャーシ 雪国の車の割にシャコタン気味。底擦ることあり。
5.エンジン SAABのロウプレッシャーターボエンジンは絶妙。時速5キロくらいからターボが効いてくる。日本車の様にアクセル少し踏んでバンと出ない。出足悪い(軽に負ける)。しかし時速30〜40キロ位でパワーが出て、どこまでも加速するような気になる。友人のSAAB9−3と、SAAB900と田舎の信号でヨーイドンで競争して900が勝った。2000ccの車だが、その辺の3000ccの車と競争しても負けないだろう。しかし高速走行中はうるさい。サターンは高速のが静かな気がする?
6.パッケージ アイポイント高い。Aピラー立っている。運転この上なくしやすい。フロントガラスが丸くたわんでいる。飛行機のようだ。後部座席のシート乗り心地最高。これは乗ってみないとわからないだろう。本国ではヘラジカ対策のためか車体しっかりしてる。セダンなのに荷物がワゴンより入る。
7.発明屋 SAABが始めての発想多い。他社が真似てる。イグニッションキーがサイドブレーキ横にある(安全のため)。座席に暖房付いてる(乾く)。後部座席にエアコンパイプ付いてる(後ろも暖かい)。ヘッドライトにワイパー付いてる(雪落し)。私は知らなかったが、シートベルト、独立したブレーキ、サイドインパクトビーム、凹んでももとに戻るバンパー、鞭打ち防止ヘッドレスト、ターボの量産、衝突時突出しないステアリング、フロンフリーエアコン、花粉防止フィルター、滝の様にスパークするプラグなどその他多くがsaabが始めて行なった技術でそうです。こんどのサーブの発明は1.6リッター?の小さいエンジンで圧縮圧を大きくして今のサーブより大きいトルクのを作るそうです。
その他 ドアをクレーンでつり上げても落ちない。事故時、足が挟まれないようにハンドルが工夫されている。空気を吸って乾かすヒートシート。車から降りたとき足下を照らすヘッドライト。夜間走行の妨げにならないような黒字に白メモリのパネル。実用域を広くしたスピードメーター。など
8.故障 SAABは走行6万キロくらいから電気とゴム系統が順番にやられる。ヘッドライト暗い。エアコン良く効くが故障多い。エンジンの搭載方法が変わっているので修理が難かしい。今のは知らない。
9.燃費 SAAB900の燃費はよかった。変な走り方してもリッター10キロ。9−3はエアコンつけると5キロらしい。
